Bristol: Aardman Animations has done it again! Their latest Wallace and Gromit film, “Vengeance Most Fowl,” just got an Oscar nomination. How cool is that?

This Christmas special is up for Best Animated Feature. It’s in good company, competing with big names like Disney/Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” and DreamWorks’ “The Wild Robot.”

Millions tuned in to watch the film on BBC1 on Christmas Day. It features our favorite inventor and his robot gnome that goes a bit haywire.

The movie is a stunning stop-motion clay animation. It even has a quirky narrow boat chase that you won’t find in typical Disney flicks.

The nominations were announced today, though they were delayed a bit due to wildfires in Los Angeles.

In other news, Timothee Chalamet is up for Best Actor for his role as Bob Dylan. Plus, the first half of “Wicked” is also in the running for Best Picture.
