Birmingham: There have been many proposed projects in the region that never got built.

One idea was a sky theme park. It was set to be a £50 million project on Eastside. Birmingham Pinnacle was planned as a 175-metre tower, the first of its kind in Europe. It was to be next to Millennium Point and aimed to boost the local economy.

The attractions included a freefall parachute drop, a gyro tower ride for 50 passengers, a bungee drop, an eight-seat giant drop, and a seesaw ride.

Plans were also made for a larger square around Centenary Square. The Hall of Memory and Baskerville House were just part of a bigger vision. However, funding ran out, leaving only half of the project completed.

Some of these unrealized projects could have changed Birmingham forever. With new skyscrapers appearing, it’s exciting to think about what the city will look like in ten years.
