Dudley: A court heard a shocking story about a family fight. An uncle, Mohammed Khan, allegedly threatened his nephew, Annib Khan, saying, “You’re going to die today.” This happened just before Annib reportedly stabbed him.

The fight escalated quickly. Annib’s father, Razwan Khan, testified that he tried to protect his son from Mohammed and his son Zayn. He described how Annib was punched and hit with a metal bar in their home.

After the chaos, Razwan saw Mohammed lying on the street. Prosecutors claim Annib stabbed his uncle in the neck outside their house. Annib, 29, denies murdering Mohammed, 45, last June.

Zayn, who is also on trial, denies a charge of affray. Razwan recalled that Annib seemed frantic when he returned home from the mosque. He noticed his brother Mohammed and Zayn outside but didn’t understand the situation at first.

As the fight broke out, Razwan saw Mohammed attacking Annib with a metal bar. He tried to shield his son but ended up with bruises. Mohammed shouted threats, and Zayn joined in, saying they would kill Annib.

The violence continued, and Razwan heard Annib scream. He saw Annib pick up something from the kitchen but wasn’t sure what it was. The situation was chaotic, with Razwan focused on stopping Zayn.

Eventually, Razwan saw Mohammed lying on the ground outside. He checked on his brother, who seemed okay, before going back inside to find Annib covered in blood. He feared his son was dead.

Prosecutors allege Annib used a kitchen knife to kill Mohammed. They claim there had been ongoing issues between them, with Annib being bullied. Annib also allegedly stabbed Zayn as he left the house.

Weapons, including a knife and an axe, were found in Mohammed’s van. Annib told police he acted in self-defense and didn’t realize he had stabbed his uncle. The trial is still ongoing.
