The ECMWF weather model shows a snow front moving from the continent to the UK around February 13. Bookmaker Coral has lowered their odds for this month to be the coldest February on record.
Coral’s spokesperson, John Hill, mentioned that temperatures are set to drop sharply soon. They’ve cut the odds in half for February being record-cold.
Netweather TV forecasts a Scandinavian blocking high, which may keep low-pressure systems away from Britain. This means the weather will be mostly dry, with some rain in eastern areas.
There’s a small chance of significant snow from easterly winds, but wintry showers are likely in the east and northeast. Western areas may enjoy sunny periods, while southwestern regions could see some snow later in the week.
