A major Atlantic snow storm is approaching the UK, expected to hit on February 15 and 16, bringing heavy snowfall, especially to the Scottish Highlands.

The storm is set to hit on Saturday, February 15, and Sunday, February 16. The Scottish Highlands might see up to 12cm of snow per hour!
Netweather TV says we’ll have westerly winds and some unsettled weather in mid-February. The south-east may enjoy calmer conditions early and late in the month.
Most of the UK will likely be about 2°C warmer than usual. North-west Scotland and parts of southern England could see a 1°C increase.
North-west Scotland will get a lot of rain, while Northern Ireland and parts of south-west Scotland will have moderate rainfall. Eastern Britain should be drier than average.
Eastern regions might enjoy more sunshine, while western areas will have typical levels. North-west Scotland may see less sunshine than usual.
The Met Office predicts wet weather for northwestern parts of the UK, especially early in February. Heavy rain and strong winds are possible.
Further south, the weather should be more settled. While some rain is possible, there will be plenty of dry days. Winds will be lighter, leading to frost and fog at night.
Overall, temperatures will be close to normal, but it may feel mild in the northwest. Expect brief colder spells between weather systems.
