A massive 327-mile blizzard is set to hit the UK, bringing freezing temperatures and significant snowfall across major cities this weekend
London: A big snowstorm is coming! A 327-mile blizzard will hit the UK this weekend. It’s expected to bring freezing temperatures of -7°C.
On Saturday, February 15, cities like London and Birmingham will see snow. The south and Midlands are at risk of heavy snowfall.
By Sunday, February 16, snow will spread to Manchester and Newcastle. They could get about 4cm of snow. Cardiff in Wales might see even more, around 8cm.
The snow should ease off around 6 PM on February 16, just in time for the workweek. After that, the weather will be drier but colder as high pressure builds.
Looking ahead, the BBC Weather team warns that unsettled weather could return later in February. This means more rain and strong winds might be on the way.
Things could get tricky by early March, with colder weather patterns possibly developing. However, nothing major is expected just yet.
Just days ago, Storm Eowyn caused chaos across the country. A man tragically died when a tree fell on his car, and many buildings suffered damage.
