London: The UK is in for a wild week. Snow maps are showing bright orange patches. This means heavy snowfall is on the way. The Met Office has warned about strong winds too.

The Scottish Highlands might see up to 10cm of snow. Manchester and Birmingham will get lighter flurries. It’s going to be a mix of freezing rain and icy conditions across the country.

Weather expert Terry Scholey says it’ll be mostly cloudy and damp. But there might be some sunny spells in the north and west. As the week goes on, expect more rain and strong winds.

A low-pressure system is moving in, and it’s pretty intense. Forecasters say we could see 6cm of snow per hour in some areas. That’s quite rare!

On Monday, it’ll be cloudy and cold for most. Some areas in southern Scotland and northern England might get light rain. Northern Ireland could see some bright weather.

Overnight, parts of southern England may clear up a bit. But central and northern areas might still have light rain. It’s going to be a mixed bag, so stay warm and safe!
