The UK is gearing up for a snowstorm, with heavy snowfall expected across 12 counties starting this Friday
London: The UK is about to get hit hard with snow. Starting this Friday, we’re looking at 72 hours of non-stop snowfall. It’s going to be wild!
Weather maps show snow starting at midnight on January 24. Expect flurries of up to 5cm an hour. That’s a lot of snow, especially in northern England.
But it’s not just the north that’s in for it. Northern Ireland, Scotland, and even parts of southern England will see some action. London might get a mix of snow and rain too.
The Met Office is warning us about a big weather shift. Heavy rain will sweep across the country, and we could see some strong winds as well. It’s going to be a bit of a mess!
They say the weather will be mild overall, but Scotland might still feel the chill. So, keep an eye out for those wintry showers!
Here’s a quick list of areas that could be affected: Lancashire, Yorkshire, and parts of Northern Ireland like Belfast. Scotland and Wales are also on the list.
Stay safe and warm, everyone! Make sure to stock up on supplies and be ready for whatever Mother Nature throws our way.
