London: Three has just dropped a big warning for its mobile customers. If you signed up after September 8, 2024, get ready for a bill hike this April. Your monthly bill could go up by £1 to £1.50, depending on your data plan.

If you have 4GB or less, expect a £1 increase. For those with 5GB to 99GB, it’s £1.25 more. And if you’re rocking 100GB or more, brace for a £1.50 jump. Broadband users will see a cap of £2 on their monthly increase.

Now, if you joined or renewed between November 1, 2022, and September 7, 2024, your bill will rise by 6.4%. For those who signed up between October 29, 2020, and October 31, 2022, it’s a 4.5% increase. But if you joined on or before May 28, 2015, and haven’t upgraded, you’re in the clear.

Three mentioned they’ll reach out to you via SMS, email, or letter to remind you about the increase. They’ll explain how it affects your specific contract. They know many customers have multiple contracts, and each may have different increases based on when they started.

Like other mobile providers, Three’s Pay Monthly plans will see annual price changes. They say these increases are due to inflation, energy costs, and rising supplier prices. But don’t worry, they claim their prices are still competitive.

Plus, they offer support options, including a social tariff through SMARTY, for those who might be struggling financially. So, keep an eye out for their messages!
