Birmingham’s King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls shines in rankings, celebrating happy students and impressive academic achievements
Located in Kings Heath, it snagged the 10th spot nationally. Plus, it topped the regional charts for A Level and GCSE results. The school was also named the overall State Secondary School of the Year for the UK.
This school caters to girls aged 11 to 18 and jumped 10 places from last year. It’s part of the King Edward VI Foundation, which includes several schools.
The school expressed pride in its achievements. They aim to help parents find the best fit for their kids. Jodh Dhesi, the foundation’s chief executive, shared his pride in all their schools. He emphasized their commitment to making Birmingham a top education hub in the UK.
Ofsted inspected the school in November 2021, giving it an ‘outstanding’ rating. Inspectors praised the school as an inspiring place where students are happy and thrive. They noted that leaders have high expectations, and students consistently meet them.
To get into King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls, kids must pass an entrance test. The qualifying score for September 2025 was set at 224. Children take this test in year six, and parents need to register when their child is in year five.
