Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, opens up about her emotional experience with Lady Louise Windsor and her family during a recent interview.
She recalled how her kids stood vigil for Queen Elizabeth II. It was a touching scene at Westminster Hall. Sophie had to pause during the interview to hold back tears.
She shared how proud she was of them. They joined their cousins, including Princes William and Harry, to honor their late grandmother. The Queen passed away in September 2022 at Balmoral Castle.
Sophie mentioned feeling unsure if James should participate since he’s younger. But he was eager to join in. She felt it was important for both kids to take part.
Sophie wanted them to feel they did well. She said they all did an amazing job. It was a moment she found incredibly moving. Seeing her children surrounded by family was lovely for her.
