Birmingham: An 82-year-old man has sadly passed away after a brutal beating at a bus stop. The victim, Allen Karam Chand, was attacked while waiting for a bus on Soho Road.

This happened on January 14, and he was taken to the hospital right away. He fought hard for his life but died on January 19. Police are now looking for more information about the incident.

A 43-year-old man had already been charged with wounding and was in court just days before Mr. Chand’s death. He’s set to appear again at Birmingham Crown Court on February 14.

The police are reviewing the charges now that the victim has died. They’re also waiting for a post-mortem to find out the exact cause of death.

Detective Inspector Joseph Davenport expressed condolences to Mr. Chand’s family. He’s urging anyone who saw the attack or knows anything to come forward.
