A 23-year-old man faces murder charges after the shooting of Riyan Ali in Birmingham. He is set to appear in court following the tragic incident last year.
Birmingham: A man has been charged with murder. This follows the shooting of Riyan Ali. The incident happened last year in Washwood Heath.
Riyan, just 19, was found injured on Alderson Road. This was around 10:30 PM on October 19. Sadly, he died later in the hospital.
West Midlands Police arrested 23-year-old Seraaj Ayub on January 29. He was charged with murder the next day. He also faces charges for kidnap, blackmail, and false imprisonment from an earlier incident on October 1.
Ayub is set to appear in Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today. Police confirmed the charges in a statement, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.
