Three men jailed for exploiting vulnerable youths in a drug trafficking scheme between Birmingham & Crewe. They face drug & slavery charges.
Parkinson, age 28, was the oldest. He created a drug sales apartment in Crewe. Young people sold drugs for the gang. Police said this was happening. All three went to jail.
Their actions involved heroin and crack cocaine. They moved drugs between the city and Crewe often. The gang used vulnerable youth to move drugs. All three were convicted of slavery offenses. They also faced drug charges.
Officers found Parkinson had a drug apartment. This untangled their crimes. Police raided the place last February. They found Meade, 20, and Harris, 19, there. Officers arrested them at the apartment. They had over £1,200 and heroin.
Police found about 100 drug wraps inside. They also found “burner” phones. These phones aided in the drug supply. Birmingham officers arrested Parkinson later. They found more drugs he possessed. This happened soon after Meade and Harris were arrested.
Parkinson’s sentence is nine years total. Six years are for drug crimes. Three years are for modern slavery issues. The court gave him a special order. He cannot contact anyone under 18 unsupervised. He has restrictions on electronic devices.
This order lasts eight years. It is named STPO. Meade got five years and five months inside. His charges include drug supply and modern slavery. He dealt crack cocaine and heroin. Harris received a suspended sentence. It is for 21 months. Her charges involved intending to supply drugs. She possessed crack and heroin.
