Birmingham: The West Midlands is getting some Hollywood love. A new campaign by VisitBritain will highlight local filming locations. This is part of a global effort to attract tourists.

The campaign, called ‘Starring GREAT Britain,’ will target markets like the USA, Australia, and Germany. It aims to showcase places used in films and TV shows, including the West Midlands.

People are increasingly visiting locations they’ve seen on screen, a trend known as ‘set jetting.’ This campaign hopes to inspire more visitors to explore and spend time in the area.

To kick things off, a new tourist guide has been launched. It features popular and lesser-known filming spots in the West Midlands. The 24-page brochure is perfect for visitors wanting to see where their favorite shows were filmed.

Some highlights include the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley, featured in Peaky Blinders, and Grand Central in Birmingham from Mission Impossible. The guide also offers tips on where to eat, stay, and enjoy local nightlife.

There’s so much to discover in the West Midlands, and this campaign is just the beginning!
