UK: A weather expert has flagged a week when another ‘Beast from the East’ might hit. This could bring heavy snow, similar to what happened in 2018.

Back then, the freezing weather caused major disruptions. The Met Office even issued a rare red warning due to the severe conditions. Now, forecaster James Madden from Exacta Weather has pinpointed a seven-day window for possible snow.

In a TikTok video, Madden mentioned that the Beast from the East is “waking.” He predicts heavy snow could arrive between February 8 and February 15.

He explained that by the end of the workweek, we might see cold and snowy weather starting to develop. This could last several days, beginning around February 8.

Weather maps from WX Charts show a blizzard moving across Europe on February 10. It’s expected to reach East Anglia around noon, with snow falling at about 1cm per hour.

London, the Midlands, and Yorkshire are also in the snow’s path. Only Northern Ireland is likely to avoid the cold snap. The Met Office hasn’t ruled out a cold spell, but it seems unlikely.

They noted a very low chance of colder conditions developing across the UK, with possible wintry showers in some areas. Looking ahead, high pressure is expected to dominate the weather initially.
