EE is raising prices for millions of customers, starting March 31, 2024. They say it’s necessary to maintain service quality and keep everyone connected.
London: So, EE is making some big changes. They’re raising prices for millions of mobile and broadband users. If you signed up or renewed your contract after April 10, 2024, expect a £1.50 hike starting March 31.
From 2025, any price increases will be clearly shown when you sign up or renew. This affects both new and existing customers. EE says they need to keep investing in their services to provide a better experience.
They mentioned that staying connected is super important. Richard Neudegg from Uswitch.com pointed out that many people might face unexpected price hikes soon. It’s a bit of a mess with older contracts still tied to inflation rates.
For instance, if the inflation rate is 4%, your bill could go up by 7.9%. EE believes their new pricing model will be clearer for everyone. They’re trying to align with Ofcom’s recommendations, which is a good move.
