Tamworth: A drug dealer was caught in Tamworth with cocaine hidden in a sock. Arben Qema, 36, was stopped by police while driving on Marlborough Way on November 6 last year.

Officers searched his car and found a sock tucked under the handbrake. Inside were 14 deals of cocaine. Qema was arrested and questioned about the drugs.

He faced charges for dealing cocaine, driving without insurance, and not having a proper license. Qema later pleaded guilty to all charges.

He was sentenced to two years and seven months in prison at Stafford Crown Court on January 19. Police are actively targeting drug dealers in Staffordshire.
