Smethwick: A car crashed into a wall, injuring three teenagers. The driver, a 17-year-old, didn’t stop for police before the accident. It happened around 7:30 PM on Sunday.
One teen was seriously hurt and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Another boy had potentially serious injuries and went to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.
The third teen was checked out and released. The driver was treated at the scene and arrested for dangerous driving.
West Midlands Police reported that the driver remains in custody. They’re still investigating the incident. Roads were closed while emergency services worked at the scene.
