Birmingham: A heartbreaking incident occurred when 12-year-old Leo Ross was fatally stabbed. He was on his way home from school when the attack happened on January 21.

Leo was knifed in the stomach on Scribers Lane and sadly passed away in the hospital just hours later. A 14-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is still in custody.

This same teen is also being questioned about an unrelated assault on an elderly woman a few days prior. In the wake of this tragedy, a family friend named Kyle Hotchkins started a GoFundMe page to help cover Leo’s funeral costs.

The campaign quickly gained support, raising over £1,300 in just a few hours. The goal is set at £4,500, and any extra funds will go into a trust for Leo’s younger sister.

Kyle shared on the GoFundMe page that no child should face such violence. He emphasized that all donations will help with funeral expenses and support Leo’s family during this tough time.
