They will build a sports center in Coventry. It’s going on the land where Bill And Bobs MOTs was. The old MOT center will be torn down first. That demolition has already gotten approval.

The new center will connect to the Gurdwara Guru Nanak Parkash Temple. Coventry City Council needs to approve one change. This change involves a condition about the center.

The center will be for kids aged five to sixteen. It will offer martial arts and general play. Soft play is also planned. Staff will watch over the kids closely.

The center’s hours are currently limited. It’s only allowed to open from 9 AM to 5 PM daily. The developers want to change these hours. They think the set hours are too tight. Kids are in school most of the time now. They cannot use it during those hours.

Most families visit the Temple at night. That time would suit the center best. Adults could also use it sometimes. They might want to do boxing or weightlifting. This could happen in the mornings or evenings. They want limited access for this.

Another Coventry sports center has longer hours. That one on Cross Road opens early and closes late. Gyms near Foleshill also have similar hours. The developers want longer hours for this center too.

They want it open from 7:30 AM to 9 PM daily. Staff will always be watching anyone there. The city council is reviewing the request now. Then, they will make a decision soon.
