Hey, guess what I just read? Some developers won their appeal. They can now build a big housing place. It’s in Cork, a spot growing super fast.

The group, O’Leary O’Sullivan, got the okay. They’re building 166 homes and a creche. This will be in Ballincrokig, near Cork and Whitecross areas. These developers also made Coppenger Fields.

That estate has 74 homes. It finished early last year, in 2023. They are also building 96 homes nearby. In 2024, they wanted a new estate. It has apartments and townhouses.

The land is south of White’s Cross, next to Coppenger Fields. The city said no at first. They appealed, and they actually won. The plan has twelve two-story buildings.

Two buildings are three stories high instead. There will be 26 one-bed spots and 42 two-bed spots. Plus, they are building houses. Twenty will have two bedrooms. Eighteen will have three bedrooms.

Forty-two homes will have three beds. Eighteen homes get four bedrooms. They can also make the creche bigger. It will hold 76 kids, not just 40. Cars will enter from Ballyhooly Road.

Another smaller road will provide access, too. The board liked the location. It’s for housing growth. They considered the Housing for All strategy. Because of this, they approved it all.
