A 26 year old man is in custody following a series of break in attempts across Birtley in the early hours of Thursday.
Northumbria Police apprehended him after receiving reports of several break-in attempts around 3 am Thursday. These incidents occurred on Consiton, Garsdale, Mingarry, and Tantallion streets.
