A Birmingham man has been sentenced to 12 years for sexually abusing a vulnerable teen with mental health challenges. Justice has been served.
The police got a tip-off about Usman on June 22 last year. They acted quickly and seized his phone. On it, they found videos of the abuse. These videos clearly showed both Usman and the girl.
Hirah Khan from the police said Usman took advantage of this girl for his own pleasure. She expressed relief at the sentence, emphasizing that such behavior will not be tolerated.
Usman, who lived on Bloomsbury Street in Birmingham, was sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court on January 15. He will also be on the sex offenders’ register for life and has a restraining order against him. The police thanked the survivor and her family for their cooperation during the investigation.
