A Birmingham man threatened to stab victims during two robberies at a West Bromwich station, leading to his arrest and sentencing.
It all happened on March 30, 2021. Gazi first approached a 23-year-old on the platform around 10:15 PM. He demanded money, but the victim managed to escape.
Minutes later, Gazi targeted another man. He pushed him against a wall and demanded his wallet. He even pretended to have a knife, making stabbing motions.
Gazi threatened the man, saying he would stab him if he reported him or canceled his cards. He also mentioned the victim’s family, which was really chilling.
After taking the man’s wallet, Gazi tried to access his bank account 31 times, succeeding three times before the money was refunded.
When police interviewed him, Gazi showed no remorse. He was caught on CCTV, which made it easy for the police to identify him.
He was sentenced to over four years in prison for his actions. The police are relieved to have taken a dangerous person off the streets. They hope this will make him think about what he did.
