A Birmingham court hears how a driver chased and killed a motorbiker to teach him a lesson after a brief encounter on the road
After the crash, Liam fell and hit a concrete post. He suffered serious injuries and died shortly after. The driver, Abdirahman Ibrahim, admitted to manslaughter but denies murder.
The court heard that Liam and his friend were riding into Birmingham when they noticed the Seat following them. The car had a broken headlamp and tinted windows. Liam performed a wheelie, which may have upset Ibrahim.
The bikers tried to escape by taking a wrong turn. However, Ibrahim continued to pursue them. He rammed Liam’s bike twice, causing him to fall and ultimately leading to his death.
After the incident, Ibrahim drove away but was later arrested at home. He did not answer police questions but later pleaded guilty to manslaughter. The trial is ongoing, with the prosecution arguing that Ibrahim intended to harm Liam.
