Birmingham: A student was shocked to see a fight break out on a busy dancefloor. The 21-year-old, who studies at Aston University, felt scared during the incident at Lab11 in Digbeth.

The fight happened during a rave event on January 24. The student described the video on TikTok, saying the punches looked sloppy. She and her friends were frightened, and it took a while for security to step in.

Footage showed the dancefloor emptying as men struggled to land punches. Eventually, security staff in high-visibility clothing broke up the fight. BirminghamLive reached out to Lab11 and Desi Fever for comments.

The student, who wanted to stay anonymous, usually enjoys events at Lab11. However, this incident made her hesitant to return. She noted that security had acted quickly in the past but was slow this time.

Safety is a big concern for many students in Birmingham. The student shared that her friend was charged into during the chaos. They felt the need to run for safety.

She came to Birmingham to enjoy the nightlife and has been attending various events. She showed her parents the video, and they advised her to be cautious when going out.

She prefers Desi events to connect with people who look like her. However, she worries that if fights continue, someone could get hurt. BirminghamLive has tried to contact Lab11 and Desi Fever about safety concerns but hasn’t received a response yet.
