Snow is expected to hit the Midlands region starting Saturday midnight, lasting through the day before clearing up later in the evening.
WX Charts says the snow arrives Saturday at midnight. Warwickshire and the East Midlands get it first. The snow mass spans about 166 miles.
It moves northwest toward other areas, including the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, and Shropshire.
Birmingham expects snow by 6 a.m. Saturday. It should keep snowing until 3 p.m. The Black Country might get about 2.25cm of snow, around 0.8 inches, around 1 p.m.
Later in the day, the snow keeps moving north. Shropshire and Staffordshire get more snow. Cheshire and Lancashire will see it too. By 6 p.m., most snow is gone. Only western Shropshire, near Wales, might have some left.
The Met Office has its view, too. They say high pressure moves northeast. A cold wind comes from the east or southeast, bringing more clouds and some showers that might be wintry, like snow.
