Yellow weather alerts are already out for parts of the UK. These warnings will be in effect from Friday to Saturday. Northwestern Scotland is particularly in the line of fire.
But Birmingham isn’t off the hook. Weather maps show gusts could hit the city on Friday. They might peak around 6am, reaching up to 55.9mph. That’s pretty intense!
Chris Almond, the Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist, said a deep low-pressure system is coming. It’s going to bring some disruptive weather through Friday and Saturday.
Winds will start picking up Thursday night, especially in Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Heavy rain is also expected, making things even more uncomfortable.
